Last weekend, I was able to venture out into the big ole world after being cooped up with a bad back. Bruce and my mom traversed through the countryside hunting for antiques. Why Bruce is the best? I got to go sit in the heated seats in the Jeep while he checked out.

My mom has been going to this store since it opened in 1992. The shop is just a few miles from our home. I actually went to school with their daughter, Jennifer and shared a lunch table with her when we were younger. You can find antiques, rustic decor and reproduced antique furniture that is made by Mike Bunce, the owner. You’ll find something to decorate your house, I promise.
Next stop is a quaint little antique shop in Ellington. Ellington always reminds me of Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls. . .
Hours: Noon to 4:00 pm Daily (Spring-Autumn)
748 N Park St | Ellington NY 14732
This trip I found a black flow plate marked 35.00 with 40% off. Even better my mom got it as a present for me. Not bad for a plate that is almost 200 years old.
Podmore Walker & Co. Mulberry Black Transfer “Washington Vase” 9 Inch Plate.
Next stop… Anywhere you see an Amish Stand selling stands. They’re giant and you need sustenance to continue your shopping.
Next point your car towards this hidden antique shop…
