Every holiday season, I create a studio Christmas card that reflects not only the beauty of winter but also the deeper meaning of the season. This year, I painted a design that is one of my favorites—the “Believe” Christmas card.
The card front features watercolor ivy twining around the word Believe with three red cardinals. The centerpiece is a single word: Believe. For me, that word captures the very heart of the holidays. It’s a reminder to hold onto wonder, kindness, and the quiet magic that surrounds us when the world slows under a blanket of snow.
I’ve always loved how nature lends its own symbolism to the season. Ivy represents strength and endurance, cardinals bring warmth and joy with their brilliant color in the coldest months, and chickadees are small but full of life and cheer. Together, these elements turn a simple greeting into a message of hope and beauty.
The holidays aren’t just about presents or gatherings—it’s about remembering to believe. Believe in giving. Believe in kindness. Believe in the magic that lingers in ordinary moments. And most importantly, carry that belief with you beyond December, letting it stay in your heart throughout the year.

The “Believe” Christmas card was created to inspire just that—a small reminder tucked into an envelope, shared from one heart to another.
✨ Believe in the magic of the season, and may it stay in your heart throughout the year. ✨
