Mr Pheasant

Snow has been eluding us so far this season. It was a pleasure to wake up to see my favorite fluffy white stuff.

Then I was going to the house, and this little pheasant was outside my studio door.

He wasn’t too afraid. He nibbled on some leftover apples and then made his way over to the bird feeders. Pheasants always remind me of my Grandfather Coffin. They were one of his favorites to paint.

He eventually traveled back to the brush after he gobbled all he could gobble.
