Golden Hickory

Alice grabbed her sweater as she headed out the door. The golden hickory out front was in full, glorious color. The morning would be chilly, but by noon, the temperatures would rise, still holding on to whispers of summer. Soon Snow Mountain would lose all its color and be blustery with the winds whipping through the valley. Today, though, would be golden and worth enjoying.
