You can never have enough luck

I bought the first piece for our (hopefully) new home! Our offer was accepted in August, but now we’re in the waiting game—selling our house and navigating the many steps of the buying/selling process. It’s kind of like buying a car—exciting, but not exactly fun, especially for someone who’s a bit impatient. But still, it’s exciting in its own way!

When I came across this hex sign at the antique mall, I knew it had to come home with me. Whether it hangs in my studio for a while or finds its place on our future barn, a little good luck can’t hurt.

It’s a Jacob Zook good luck hex sign. I’ve always loved hex signs, and I’ve even painted a few of my own. Jacob Zook has been creating these beautiful symbols of luck and protection since 1973 in Pennsylvania Dutch country.

Want to see some of my own hand-painted hex signs? Check them out!
