Sawyer 11 Weeks

Sawyer

Our little angel beast, Sawyer, has been growing like crazy! Last week, he doubled in weight, going from 7 lbs to 15 lbs. The little chunker is thriving, and it’s both exciting and a bit overwhelming to see him grow so fast.

Sawyer is an English Black Lab we got from Onyahsa Kennels, a reputable breeder near us. His energy is boundless, making it quite a challenge to capture good photos of him. Black pups are notoriously difficult to photograph, and Sawyer’s constant motion doesn’t help. Most of my pictures of him are when he’s finally exhausted and asleep.

If you’ve noticed a lack of recent posts, it’s because I’m constantly on the move, chasing after Sawyer and reminding him, “Nooooooo, POTTY OUTSIDE, OUTSIDE!!!” It’s been a whirlwind of activity, but his antics and playful nature keep our household lively.

One heartwarming aspect of having Sawyer is seeing the bond between him and Nutmeg, our other pet. They’ve become inseparable tug-of-war partners. Despite Nutmeg being much smaller at Sawyer’s age, they match each other’s enthusiasm and energy. I have a feeling Sawyer is going to be a big boy, much bigger than Nutmeg ever was.

Watching Sawyer grow and develop his unique personality has been an incredible experience. Despite the challenges, the joy he brings to our family is immeasurable. We’re looking forward to many more adventures with our lovable and rapidly growing angel beast, Sawyer. Stay tuned for more updates, and hopefully, some better photos as he learns to sit still!
