The focus of this design project was to create a new website for a real estate agent who specializes in Chautauqua Lake cottages. Roberta wanted a site that captured the charm and character of lakefront living, while also being practical for day-to-day real estate work.
After some creative exploration, I landed on a blue shingle theme—a nod to the cozy cottages that dot the shoreline. It gives the site a welcoming, lake-inspired look that sets the right tone for buyers dreaming of waterfront living.
At the heart of the design is a Picasa slideshow, which makes it simple for Roberta to update photos herself. For a realtor, the ability to quickly showcase new listings is essential, and this feature ensures her clients always see what’s fresh on the market.
The result is a site that balances style with function, making it easy to navigate while highlighting the beauty of Chautauqua Lake.
