Early in the spring, I was brainstorming gift ideas for my dad for Father’s Day. At the flying field, he has a lone flagpole but no flag.
So, I got creative and designed a custom flying field flag for him. The crest I used was based on one my grandfather, Merrill Coffin, had.
Initially, I thought I had everything sorted when I found an online printer offering their services for $35. However, once I uploaded the artwork, I discovered the design was too complex and would cost over $150 plus shipping, and the flag was much smaller than expected. Frustrated, I started researching more options.
Then it hit me—I’m a print dealer, and the company I work with recently started offering banner and sign printing. Problem solved! I managed to get the flag printed at 83″ x 50″ for under $50.
In the coming weeks, I’m expanding my offerings to include outdoor banners and signs, so keep an eye out!
